about

I came from a place where everything was supposed to be perfect. My job, my partner, my apartment, my friends, my belongings - everything needed to be perfect. But what exactly is perfection? It came to a point in my life when I began to realize how empty my thoughts and ideas about the perfect life were and that my worldview no longer held support - and then everything collapsed. Much of what I thought was right turned out to be wrong and I began to realize that I had lived in a mental prison all my life. A prison I built all by myself.

What I did not know then was that I had a long journey ahead of me where I would have to let go. Let go of thoughts and ideas that I thought were truths. I cried, I was pissed and very confused at times, but through the fog a new kind of beauty began to seep out. A beauty I've never seen before. The beauty was imperfect, and that's what made it so beautiful. I had begun to let go of my preconceived notions of what myself, people and situations would be like, and instead began trying to allow them to be as they are.

It sounds simple, but it is challanging. I'm still working on this and I'm learning something new every day. Change takes both time and energy, but it is worth every second because for every thing I dare to let go of, I start to live a little more.

This is 'The Beauty of Imperfection', an album that came about during a period of my life I will never forget.

The tempo in his productions shifts between downtempo to more club friendly tracks, but it’s always about taking the listener on an emotional musical journey. ... more
